Obituary

I met Black in 2006 at the beginning of college. He had been dumped at my friend's farm along with his brother Orange. He was cross-eyed and so cute. When my friend and I moved in together in 2008, she brought Black and Orange along. Black picked me as his favorite person in the apartment and when my friend graduated in 2010, she gave him to me. Black was my cat for 13 years. He was my best friend and was there for me through the highs and lows of my adult life.

He had a lot of adventures for a kitty. He went to college and road tripped to and from Houston. He climbed trees and chased birds and ate bugs. He slept in all the sunny places and loved to go on the porch. He raised three kittens at the ripe old age of 11. He loved catnip and potato chips. He loved to eat and snuggle and have his bum scratched. He was the easiest to make purr and he had a big rumbly purr. He wasn't afraid of anything, and he walked into every place I ever took him like he owned it. I don't think there will ever be another cat quite like him.

I am so lucky that I got to have him in my life for all of these years. I love him and will miss him so much.
