Hank was an exceptional chocolate lab. From day one, when he entered our home we knew we had a gem. For a pup he was laid back not like other labs we have had. He had his moments, but they were few, he was a puppy. As he grew older, he surprised us with his intelligence. He would copy things after seeing them, for instance, my husband would lay on our living room floor and say please hand me the afagan, which I did. After watching that 3-4 times, Hank would go and get the afagan and put it on your lap. Many of our friends could not believe that he had self taught himself. He'd help me outside by going after garden tools for me that I left on the other side of the house. These too many things that he did to mention them all. Hanks favorite things besides pleasing people, he loved to swim and play in our pond. He was always in it when he was not helping me. He loved going to camp and riding in the truck, he sat on the seat like a person, looking out the window, sometimes I wondered what he was thinking. His all time favorite treat was ICE CREAM (vanilla). We have a bottom freezer, if you spilled ice cream he would go stand by the freezer waiting for you to get it. What can I say, my husband and I in our beliefs had the smartest and best friend ever, our HANK. Love, Mommy and Daddy
