Romeo – June 6, 2010 – July 9, 2025

Aka Romie, Romez, Romes, Romers

Romeo was more than a pet, he was a tiny, real-life teddy bear who wrapped my heart in warmth and love. He came into my life during a time of uncertainty, when I was fresh out of college and still trying to find my way in the world. From day one, he was my steady companion; a source of comfort, laughter, and unconditional love. Through all of life's milestones, including the birth of our children, Romeo remained a loyal constant; especially devoted to our daughter Lilly, who adored him for 11 wonderful years.

Even after having his teeth pulled as a pup, Romeo kept his goofy charm, with his little tongue always sticking out in the most endearing way. It was impossible not to smile when you looked at him. He was a character; quirky, brave, and full of heart. And he definitely made sure you knew what he wanted. Hungry? Time to go outside? He'd let you know loudly and persistently.

Romeo had a sweet tooth and a deep love for cheese. He could hear a cheese wrapper crinkle from rooms away and would come trotting in like it was his life's mission.

Always by my side, or seeking me out when I wasn't near, Romeo was a true best friend. Sweet. Loyal. Irreplaceable. His absence leaves a quiet space in our hearts and home, but his memory continues to fill it with warmth.

Until we meet again, sweet Romeo.
