In Loving Memory of Scout
August 20, 2015 - May 29, 2026
Scout also known as Scoot, Scooter, Scoot-a-Boot, and Scooter Booter was a pure bred good girl who was lovingly welcomed into our family on October 15, 2015. She quickly became the Queen of the house and a beloved member of the family. At a very young age Scout was faced with a very difficult skin condition in early 2016. It took all hands on deck and many trips to a canine dermatologist to bring our girl into total remission. Once in remission her sass and spunk quickly returned.
Scout was a lover of many things. She loved a good nap in her favorite bed in her Mom's office. Long walks to the kitchen for a piece of cheese which she considered herself a cheese connoisseur. She never met a chicken nugget she didn't like and would eat the whole pack if you'd allow. She loved a good afternoon in her dog pool or splash pad. She was also a trained lifeguard for her family while they enjoyed time in the hot tub. She loved to rough house with her Dad and often would be the one instigating the play time. But she also loved the simple things, a good scratch behind her ears or a belly rub, or simply the sun on her face.
Scout leaves behind a family that loves her unconditionally, a house that feels quieter and a hole in the hearts of all who loved her. She will be forever loved and remembered by her Mother, Heather who was very fortunate enough to spend every day with Scout as she worked from home her whole life. Her Dad, George who Scout thought hung the moon. She would greet him daily as he came home from work. Her human sister, Morgan, who was her favorite cheese dealer and keeper of the snacks. Her human brother, Bailey, who may only get to visit when he can but she was always happy to see him. Scout also loved her Aunt Riah and cousins, Reese and Will. Also feeling her absence is her fur brother, Theo, who thought every grumble was play time and the stealing of his favorite squeaky ball was a game of hide and seek.
Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for every moment we shared. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered. We love you sweet girl, today, tomorrow and always. ❤️
